Feasibility study of rooftop solar photovoltaic system for 33/11 kV primary substation at Al Suwairah

<span>This article presents an overview of the technical and financial feasibility analysis integrating a photovoltaic (PV) source with conventional power system to supply auxiliary load at Al Suwairah 33/11 kV primary substation (PSS) in Suhar, Sultanate Oman. This study estimates required electrical energy for substation's load. A method is implemented utilize available area determining solar system's capacity. PVSyst software employed determine ideal The proposed PV payback period overall annual savings have been evaluated using series simulated analyses. can inject 172.5 MWh/year average performance ratio 0.826. economic evaluation by (PVSyst) considering present Suwarah PSS has suggested total 8.9 years which quite feasible. cost generated 49.2% less than supplied from utility service provider.</span>
